a couple interesting house front taken in Jioufen

Jioufen, Taiwan

went to Jioufen (九份) the other day.
Jioufen is a mountain town in northern Taipei, by Keelung, Taiwan.

it is famous now for the old street in the village.
in 1989, the film “A City of Sadness” was filmed in this town.
in 2001, the anime movie “spirited away” used Jioufen as a model to build the village in the movie.
we took the keelung bus line from Taipei(MRT Zhongxiao Fuhsing exit) to downtown Jioufen.

Formoz Fest after party with Her Space Holiday @ the Wall in Taipei, Taiwan

i didnt get to go to Formoz Fest 2008. but i heard it was amazing. Formoz is one of the biggest music festival in Taiwan’s music scene, started in 1995, Formoz is 13 years old now.
this show was held at the Wall. An underground indie music showcase located on Roosevelt Rd. in Taipei.


the facility was cozy and nice. I dig the “Free Hugs Street Bar”

Free Hugs Street Bar has a fully stocked bar w/ a wide selections of beers for a reasonable price, they also offer some light food and snacks.

oh btw. i found another person with the Cobrasnake shirts… 3rd time this trip…

one of the many reasons why Taiwan is cool is that you can smoke inside and drink outside…

all 3 bands perform really well. Tonic and 4 Bonjour’s parties are from Japan. they did a collaborate performance w/ her space holiday

Campo fest was fun. the flea market was full of hand made products and vintage clothing and accessories. i was not able to go to the after party, but im sure it has a great turn out too.

hokkaido update

hokkaido is sooooo beautiful
Sapporo is a great city… love the beer, dig the food. adore the girls in the city.
